NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. – Steve Anapoell, co-founder of BridgeForth Capital and an EB-5 structure and securities expert, will appear as a panelist at the Crittenden National Real Estate Conference April 18 in San Diego.
Mr. Anapoell will participate in a panel on Monday, April 18, at 10:45 am, moderated by Steve Cohen of Sabadell United Bank. The panel discussion will focus on the impact of foreign investments in real estate nationwide, including structured programs like the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. Mr. Anapoell has served as lead securities counsel on numerous EB-5 Program related projects, including some of the largest and most well-recognized projects in the United States.
Foreign investors completed $87.3 billion worth of deals in the U.S. in 2015, according to the International Business Times. As much as eight to ten percent of that volume may have come from the EB-5 program, which received over 17,000 I-526 filings (the first step in an EB-5 petition by an investor). While the EB-5 program has a relatively small footprint in terms of absolute numbers of immigration filings or investment dollars, it is currently a hot topic due to the boost it has provided to several major markets like Manhattan and Miami.
At the Crittenden conference, the panelists will discuss the different types of foreign investment and their impact on various regions of the U.S., how world events are impacting the flow of international investments, and how different types of lending influence lending decisions and loan structures.
