Ron Schreiber serves as an Advisor to BridgeForth Capital. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Calspan-University of Buffalo Research Center (CUBRC), the Board of Trustees of the University of Buffalo Foundation, and is an Advisor to the Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. In addition, Mr. Schreiber serves on the board of several portfolio companies, including China Horizons, AFT, Alpha Artists, Turbulent Entergy and Optodot.
Mr. Schreiber is an experienced operating executive with an expertise in founding and leading companies and technology development. He has founded two lasting billion dollar technology companies and led them to successful exits. He is a seasoned venture capitalist who has operated three venture funds where he has realized upper quartile returns.
Mr. Schreiber currently serves as a managing partner for Softbank Capital New York, the U.S.-based venture capital group associated with Softbank Corporation, a global diversified technology company.
Prior to Softbank Capital, Mr. Schreiber was Managing Director of Seed Capital Partners, an early stage technology venture fund that he co-founded. Mr. Schreiber was also the co-founder, co-CEO and Chairman of UCA, which later became known as Softbank Services Group, the first technology specific outsourcing and logistics company in the U.S. Softbank Services Group was the predecessor company to Sitel Worldwide, which is now the world’s largest outsourced call center provider.
He was also the founder of Software Distribution Services, the predecessor company to Ingram Micro, the world’s largest wholesale computer products distributor with over $23 billion in annual revenue.
Mr. Schreiber is a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo.
